Zulu Adigwe Education
As a child, Adigwe relocated to Austria, where he completed his primary and secondary education. Before pursuing acting, he focused on studying French and German, worked as a teacher, and briefly delved into Medicine. After his father’s passing, he returned to Nigeria. Later, he then enrolled at the University of Ibadan, where he pursued a degree in Theatre Arts and graduated with First Class Honours.

Adigwe’s passion for acting ignited at the tender age of seven. He made his debut on Nigerian television in the popular series “Basi and Company,” assuming the lead role of Mr. B. This role was taken over by former actor Albert Egbe following a disagreement with the show’s creator, Ken Saro-Wiwa. Adigwe’s portrayal brought a fresh perspective to Mr. B, depicting him as a guitar-playing idler who crafted and sang catchy tunes about quick riches. He even lent his voice to the new theme song of “Basi and Company,” and an album titled “Mr. B Makes His Millions” was launched under Polygram Nigeria in 1990.
In 1991, Adigwe was part of the original cast of “Checkmate,” playing the role of the lascivious university lecturer Monday Edem in the pilot episode. However, his role was recast when production relocated from Enugu to Lagos. On the other hand, his cinematic debut came with the film “Blood of the Orphan,” earning him praise and acclaim. In 2004, he starred in “Living Abroad,” directed by Elvis Chuks, alongside Ernest Asuzu, Emeka Enyiocha, and Anne Njemanze. In 2019, Adigwe portrayed Pascal Nworie in “Living in Bondage: Breaking Free.”
