The Texas Associated Press Broadcasters have recognized his performance as a reporter, and he is honored to be a part of TAPB’s “Best Morning Show” for 2011.
Victor’s favorite pieces are his week-long coverage of The Rockhouse Fire in Fort Davis in April 2011, and his one-year-later follow-up coverage in 2012.
He also enjoys going on ride-alongs with law officers and watching them apprehend criminals. Victor is a West Texan who was born in Lamesa, raised in Welch, and graduated from Dawson High School with honors.
At WTSU in Canyon, now known as WTAMU, he received the “Don and Sybil Harrington Honor Scholarship.” When time allows, he occasionally does some acting and guest directing.
