Nidhi Rana was a Commuter Student

Nidhi Rana, a Seton Hall University commuter student, took part in the Division of Volunteer Efforts (DOVE).

In an email to the Seton Hall community, University President Joseph E. Nyre reported the finding of her corpse. Nyre remarked, “We lament the awful loss of a life so young and promising.” “Someone who adored her new home of Seton Hall and was equally adored by the University.”

The full statement from the Seton Hall Community reads;

“Dear Seton Hall Alumni and Friends, It is with great sadness that I write to notify you that the corpses of Seton Hall student Nidhi Rana and her friend Ayush Rana have been discovered. The storm and floodwaters on September 1 took Nidhi and Ayush’s lives.

Nidhi has merely scratched the surface of her Seton Hall narrative. She was one of us, despite the fact that she was new to our community. She was an active participant in our University community. Her service in the Division of Volunteer Efforts left an indelible mark on her classmates in a short period of time (DOVE). We lament the unfortunate death of a young and promising life—someone who adored her new home of Seton Hall and was adored by the University.

We put our faith in Saint Paul’s words that “love bears all things, believes all things, hopes all things, and endures all things.” May the love of Nidhi’s family and her Seton Hall family console us, and may it motivate us to renew our commitment to serve others through our everyday acts.

Campus Ministry and DOVE will share details on a Service of Remembrance and Hope at a time of sorrow. I’m writing to advise you that the bodies of Seton Hall student Nidhi Rana and her buddy Ayush Rana were recently discovered. The storm and floodwaters on September 1 took Nidhi and Ayush’s lives.
