Nick’s TV meteorology career began following graduating in December 2015 at KHQA in Quincy, Illinois. He worked as a storm chaser and weekend meteorologist for the channel. During Nick’s two years at KHQA, he shot three tornadoes live during severe weather coverage, earning two state honors for breaking news coverage.
Nick was also invited to photograph the launch of GOES-R, our next-generation weather satellite, by Storm Center Communications, and received certification in its operation from the University Corporation for Atmospheric Research during a satellite orientation course at the Kennedy Space Center in Florida prior to launch.
