As time went on, he was promoted to sports anchor for the weekend. With Viking’s wide receiver Ahmad Rashad, he started enabling his Sunday night show in 1981. The Rosen-Rashad Report eventually evolved into Rosen’s Sports Sunday and was broadcast on WCCO until 2016.
He was inducted into their Hall of Fame and repeatedly awarded City Pages’ Best TV Sportscaster title. He also received several regional Emmy awards.
He published a book titled “Best Seat in the House” in late March 2012 that covered everything from his early years at WCCO to his top meetings.
