In 2008, Marissa joined WCIA 3 News in Central Illinois, a CBS affiliate, as a reporter. As a general assignment reporter and fill-in anchor, she spent three years in the Springfield and Champaign-Urbana newsrooms.
After that, she went west to KOB-TV in Albuquerque, New Mexico, to write on the Land of Enchantment. Marissa flew all over the state, mostly to cover up the huge wildfires that threaten the country so much. In 2012, as a morning anchor at KOAA in Colorado Springs, Colorado, Marissa declined an invitation. She even managed her own fitness franchise, “Your Healthy Family,” during her time there.
