Krista Frost Career
Frost is an alumni of Ohio University from where she graduated with a Broadcast Journalism degree in May of 2016. She was brought up in Dayton, Ohio. She developed interest in journalism from her routine of watching news with her parents at a young age. Her first on-air gig was in middle school working in front and behind the camera of student-run TV production. She sharpened her skills throughout college, while working at public TV and radio station WOUB-Public Media. She later took her radio work overseas to host an in-depth broadcast coverage series on immigration in eastern Germany and the United States.
After her work overseas she went onto Hazard and worked as a weekend producer/ anchor and dayside reporter during the week. Although she is not from Kentucky, she has many family members in Lexington and several UK alums in her family. She is excited to bring her storytelling to central Kentucky and to continue to grow with WKYT.
