Beginning of Her Career
Isyana embarked on her journalism journey in 2003 upon completing her studies in the International Relations department at the University of Indonesia. She initially started her career as a reporter at Trans TV. About a year later, Isyana transitioned to TV7 (now known as Trans7) where she took on the role of a news anchor while still actively reporting. Her career then led her to RCTI in 2007, where she served as both a news anchor and producer for the program “Seputar Indonesia.” In early 2013, she made the move to MetroTV.

Throughout her career as a journalist, Isyana reported on significant events, including the Aceh Tsunami, the Bali bombings II, and the 2008 United States presidential election, which was won by Barack Obama. Additionally, she served as a presidential palace correspondent during President Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono’s tenure.

One of the driving factors behind this transition was her grandmother, Gedong Bagoes Oka, who had served as a member of the Regional Representative Council (DPR) and the People’s Consultative Assembly (MPR), representing the Hindu community.
In the 2019 General Election, Isyana became part of the National Campaign Team (Tim Kampanye Nasional or TKN) for Jokowi – Ma’ruf Amin. She also ran as a Legislative Candidate for PSI in the Banten III electoral district, which comprises Tangerang Regency, Tangerang City, and South Tangerang City. Isyana garnered 48,819 votes, placing her among the top 10 in personal vote counts, contributing to PSI’s total vote accumulation of 130,010 in Banten III. However, despite her efforts, PSI’s national vote share fell short of the parliamentary threshold of 4 percent, preventing her from becoming a member of the Indonesian People’s Consultative Assembly (DPR-RI).
