About a year later, Isyana transitioned to TV7 (now known as Trans7) where she took on the role of a news anchor while still actively reporting. Her career then led her to RCTI in 2007, where she served as both a news anchor and producer for the program “Seputar Indonesia.” In early 2013, she made the move to MetroTV.
Throughout her career as a journalist, Isyana reported on significant events, including the Aceh Tsunami, the Bali bombings II, and the 2008 United States presidential election, which was won by Barack Obama. Additionally, she served as a presidential palace correspondent during President Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono’s tenure.
Isyana conducted interviews with notable figures, including George W. Bush during his presidency, Hillary Clinton while she served as the U.S. Secretary of State, as well as football stars and coaches such as Pep Guardiola, Cesc Fabregas, Robert Pires, and Javier Zanetti.
After leaving RCTI at the end of 2013, Isyana pursued a career as a freelance presenter, appearing on various talk shows across different television networks, including Metro TV, Sindo TV, Kompas TV, and Fox Sports Asia.
In 2014, Isyana, along with other young individuals like Grace Natalie and Raja Juli Antoni, played a pivotal role in founding the Indonesian Solidarity Party (Partai Solidaritas Indonesia or PSI). The following year, she publicly announced her departure from journalism and her entry into politics as the Chairperson of the Central Executive Board (DPP) of PSI. One of the driving factors behind this transition was her grandmother, Gedong Bagoes Oka, who had served as a member of the Regional Representative Council (DPR) and the People’s Consultative Assembly (MPR), representing the Hindu community.
In the 2019 General Election, Isyana became part of the National Campaign Team (Tim Kampanye Nasional or TKN) for Jokowi – Ma’ruf Amin. She also ran as a Legislative Candidate for PSI in the Banten III electoral district, which comprises Tangerang Regency, Tangerang City, and South Tangerang City. Isyana garnered 48,819 votes, placing her among the top 10 in personal vote counts, contributing to PSI’s total vote accumulation of 130,010 in Banten III. However, despite her efforts, PSI’s national vote share fell short of the parliamentary threshold of 4 percent, preventing her from becoming a member of the Indonesian People’s Consultative Assembly (DPR-RI).
