MacDonald’s childhood dream job was to be a weather forecaster. On December 27, 2007, he created his first landscape video. His first YouTube video was uploaded on December 16, 2009. For his contributions to the Weather Network website, MacDonald became well-known in Canada.
On the show Tosh.0, his estimate for an earthquake in Vancouver was highlighted, and BuzzFeed dubbed it “the only forecast you need for Hurricane Isaac.”
Through his videos, MacDonald has become a “online weather-broadcasting star,” with some of his movies receiving hundreds of thousands of views; his Minnesota prediction video garnered over 150,000 views.
