Dylan was born and reared in Northeast Georgia’s Blue Ridge Mountains. He was always interested by weather and the afternoon storms that rolled across the area every summer when he was growing up there.
Every night, he and his father would watch the local news to see what the local meteorologists had to say.
He earned a Bachelor of Science in Meteorology from the University of South Alabama as a result of this.
Dylan was a member of the American Meteorological Society’s South Alabama chapter and Pi Kappa Phi Fraternity while in college.
Dylan served as the fraternity’s acting Chaplin for two years, and he took part in many of the organization’s charity events for people with disabilities.
While in college, he also worked as an intern at the WXXV television station in Gulfport, Mississippi.
