Her breakthrough moment arrived when she landed a role as a resident DJ on the youth dance show, “Jika Majika,” which was broadcast on SABC 1.
Throughout her career, she collaborated with renowned South African music icon Boom Shaka on the album “I Put It In.” This project featured other notable artists such as Dr. Malinga, Khanyi Mbau, Mphoza, and many more. DJ Zinhle also headlined the “Sisters with Soul” concert alongside Amanda Black. Her talent was duly recognized at the second Mzansi Kwaito and House Music Awards, where she scooped two awards, including Best House DJ and Best House Female Artist.
She even graced the stage as the headlining act at the 2019 Zimfest live concert, a Zimbabwean festival held in England. One of her standout singles in 2019, “Umlilo,” achieved remarkable success with 5.1 million streams in just three months and was certified 3× platinum by the Recording Industry of South Africa (RISA). It also earned the prestigious title of “Song of The Year” for 2019. DJ Zinhle was chosen as the headline act for the inaugural Red Bull Music Experience in Cape Town.
