Chad has covered numerous Cardinals and Royals World Series games throughout the years. He also covered the Chiefs at Super Bowl 54 in Miami, Missouri State in the NCAA Baseball and Women’s Basketball Tournaments, and Drury’s 2013 National Championship run. Chad worked as an intern for ABC News Nightline, where he gained his first practical experience in the media. In September 1998, the Midwest Bureau placed Chad squarely in the thick of a contentious home run contest between Mark McGwire and Sammy Sosa. Ned Reynolds, a member of the Missouri Sports Hall of Fame, chose Chad to take over the weeknight sports desk in 2012 when he decided to semi-retire. In parallel, KY3 introduced Ozarks Sports Zone to give the station a brand-new perspective on high school athletics. Since then, Chad has defeated a close friend and mentor in St. Louis three times to win four Emmys for best sports anchor in the Midwest.
