He participated in a Convective Field Study while attending Valpo, traveling more than 3,000 miles to chase storms across the Plains. He was also highly involved with the university television station. Brendan has held internships at WTVO in Rockford, IL; CNN Worldwide in Atlanta, GA; and WGN-TV in Chicago, IL (where he got to work with legendary Chief Meteorologist Tom Skilling).

In September 2020, Brendan started working for NBC 15’s First Alert Weather Team. He provides weather forecasts on Saturday and Sunday evenings as well as throughout the week, covering anything from severe storms to Wisconsin Winter Storms.
Brendan worked three years at KHBS/KHOG-TV in Fort Smith-Fayetteville, Arkansas, before joining NBC 15.
While working at 40/29, Brendan was a part of the team that covered an EF-2 tornado that ripped through Mountainburg, Arkansas, and he later reported on the damage. Catastrophic flooding along the Arkansas River was caused by heavy rainfall in the spring of 2019. As multiple bridges in Fort Smith were closed due to a rising river, Brendan predicted the torrential downpours while reporting live from the city. Brendan reported as two sizable barges slid down the river in the direction of the Webbers Falls Lock & Dam, evoking terrifying flashbacks of the 2002 I-40 bridge collapse.
