Alastair Stewart whose fullname is Alastair James Stewart OBE is an English journalist and newscaster. He was previously a presenter for ITV News before joining GB News as a presenter in 2021. He has twice been named News Presenter of the Year by the Royal Television Society. Stewart began his career with Southern Television in 1976, then moved to ITN in 1980, where he worked for three years with Channel 4 News before becoming a main newsreader for ITV News.

Before Lord Mountbatten was slain by the IRA in 1979, he conducted one of the last interviews with him and spent six weeks in Ford Open Prison filming a half-hour documentary.
