Witjaksono officially joined RCTI in 2002, although he was no stranger to the world of television. His involvement began in the 1980s when he appeared as a guest star on a children’s program at TVRI during his childhood. Prior to joining RCTI, Witjaksono, who had a passion for self-defense and was a Tae Kwon Do trainer, worked at the media company PT. Kopitime Dot Com Tbk., which was affiliated with the Bakrie Company Group. He served as the Head of the B-to-B (Business To Business) E-Commerce Media Section.

His leadership qualities were evident as he held positions such as Chairman of the Student Council at SMP 85 and Chair of the MPK at Jakarta Public High School 34. Witjaksono earned a bachelor’s degree in industrial engineering from the Telkom Institute of Technology in Bandung, West Java. During his time there, he was actively involved in HMI (Himpunan Mahasiswa Islam), managed the internal Student Association, and frequently contributed to campus publications.

In 2004, Witjaksono was chosen to lead the live broadcast of the “Pemilu Eksekutif dan Legislatif 2004” (Executive and Legislative Elections). He received the “Jurnalis Muda Berprestasi” (Outstanding Young Journalist) award from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in 2006.

In 2010, Witjaksono successfully completed his postgraduate studies in communication management with a focus on the Political and Mass Media sector at the University of Indonesia. His dedication paid off as he achieved the highest score and earned the “SUMMA CUM LAUDE” distinction in the BEST GRADUATION category within the Department of Communication at the Faculty of Social and Political Sciences, University of Indonesia.

During his decade-long career at RCTI, Witjaksono held the role of senior executive-producer journalist for the prominent news program Seputar Indonesia. He was also frequently invited to share his experiences and knowledge as a guest lecturer in subjects related to Mass Media, Journalism, and Public Relations at various universities in Jakarta and West Java.

2012 – present

Witjaksono’s passion for the world of television and mass media propelled him to embrace new challenges. Since 2012, he has served as a News Anchor and senior journalist at Kompas TV. At Kompas TV, Witjaksono hosts a program called “Aiman Dan,” which is dedicated to the “public test” of Presidential Candidates who were vying for the 2014 Presidential Election. He has been a prominent figure on Kompas TV since January 2015, where he helms the “AIMAN Host” program, airing every Monday at 20:30 WIB, and is recognized as an icon of exclusive TV programming.

Witjaksono’s excellence in his role did not go unnoticed. In November 2014, he was honored with the “Best Presenter Talk Show” award at the 2014 Indonesian Broadcasting Commission Awards. In 2015, his outstanding journalism work earned him the prestigious Elizabeth O’Neill Journalism Award from the Australian Department of Foreign Affairs. He continued to shine in his field, receiving the “Best Talkshow Presenter” award at the 2017 Indonesian Broadcasting Commission Awards. His dedication to journalism led to further recognition when, in 2018, he was granted a fellowship by the Government of the United States through the IVLP Program, focusing on Journalism Investigation.

In November 2022, Witjaksono embarked on a new chapter in his illustrious television career, joining the MNC Group as the Chief Editor, and returning to where he was originally nurtured as a Television Professional.
