Adeola Fayehun (born Adeola Eunice Oladele Fayehun) is a Nigerian journalist who focuses on addressing contemporary geopolitical, social, and economic concerns impacting the lives of Africans in Africa.
She gained prominence for her 2015 street interview, alongside Sahara TV journalist Omoyele Sowore, in which they questioned Zimbabwean President Robert Mugabe about his plans for leaving office. Additionally, in 2013, she conducted an on-street interview with former Nigerian President Goodluck Jonathan in New York, inquiring about his actions regarding the ongoing Boko Haram insurgency at the time.

Fayehun was born in Nigeria to missionary parents, Rev. Dr. Solomon Ajayi Oladele and Margaret Ibiladun Oladele (formerly Abolarin). She is the youngest of six siblings and belongs to the Yoruba ethnic group in the southwestern region of Nigeria, speaking the language fluently.

Fayehun commenced her college education in Nigeria, pursuing a degree in linguistics. In 2003, at the age of 19, she relocated to the United States to further her studies, courtesy of a scholarship she obtained from the National Association of Congregational Christian Churches. She successfully completed her undergraduate studies at Olivet College in Olivet, Michigan, earning a B.A. in Mass Communications and Journalism in 2007.
During her time at Olivet, she actively engaged in radio work and contributed as a writer for the college newspaper. As part of a school project, Fayehun also established the Olivet College TV Studio. Subsequently, in 2008, she earned a master’s degree in broadcast journalism from CUNY Graduate School of Journalism.

In 2009, after completing graduate school, Fayehun joined CUNY TV as a TV news producer. During her time there, she authored and produced a feature on Omoyele Sowore from Sahara Reporters, with whom she later collaborated behind the scenes.
In 2010, Fayehun became a U.S. correspondent for the Nigerian newspaper, The Nation, primarily working as a freelance journalist.
The same year, 2010, Fayehun established the online resource, African Spotlight, dedicated to publishing content about Africa.
In April 2011, Fayehun initiated the news satire program, “Keeping It Real with Adeola!” on SaharaTV. The 30-minute show featured Fayehun reporting on various African news events, often in character. The show focused on political issues relevant to Africa and the African diaspora community. For the first 150+ episodes spanning three years, Fayehun served as the show’s producer, writer, and editor.
In November 2017, Fayehun departed from SaharaTV to work independently, creating and sharing new content on her YouTube channel, which continued her weekly satire show, “Keeping It Real with Adeola!”.
Often likened to comedian Jon Stewart, Fayehun employs satire and comedy in self-produced videos to elucidate news events. Additionally, she continues to serve as a foreign correspondent for The Nation, a Nigerian national daily newspaper headquartered in Lagos, Nigeria.
