Award-winning journalist Bimman works as a Global National correspondent out of Ottawa.

Bimman oversaw CTV’s regional investigation section while located in Kitchener before joining Global News. She worked as their weekend anchor and producer for five years before to it.

The Canadian Association of Journalists (CAJ) gave Bimman two medals for her investigative reporting while she was working for CTV. One was for her coverage of an unlicensed nurse working in a nursing home in 2017 and the other was for a 2013 article that provided an in-depth look at life for inmates at the Grand Valley Institution for Women. After requesting access to the prison for years, she was finally granted it on a rare occasion. For her feature stories, Bimman has received two RTDNA prizes. One focused on a teen’s recovery from a brain injury, while the other followed a group of “calendar girls” at a retirement community as they got naked for a fun fundraiser. Additionally, she was a member of the group that, in 2015, covered the federal election night and won an RTDNA Best Newscast award.

In Bimman’s professional history, he has also worked for CTV News Channel, CTV Ottawa, CHEX TV (Oshawa), and Rogers TV (York Region). Her first professional achievement was writing for the Canadian Jewish News on summer programs for kids in Ukraine.
